Activities in summer

Summer Kicks: Every Wednesday in summer from June to August, a concert is held in town at Selkirk Hill. It's perfect for children; you can bring your picnic and listen to music while the kids play soccer.
Thompson Falls: A hike at the end of our street that is about 12 km (round trip). It’s just beautiful, alongside a river.
Emerald Lake: A stunning lake that you must visit. Don’t hesitate to walk around the lake (about 2 hours of very easy walking).
Mount 7: For a viewpoint overlooking the entire valley and Golden! Be careful; the road can be a bit tricky depending on the season (avoid in winter)! Feel free to ask us beforehand
Disc Golf Golden: An 18-hole wooded course, accessible for free. Perfect for a game of disc golf with family or friends. (https://www.golden.ca/recreation-services/community-parks/disc-golf-golden)
SkyBridge Golden BC: A pedestrian suspension bridge that crosses a deep canyon, offering stunning views of the Rocky Mountains. (http://goldenskybridge.com/)
Kicking Horse Mountain Resort: A picturesque ski resort with slopes for all levels, bike trails, hiking trails, and restaurants. (http://kickinghorseresort.com/)
Golden Nordic Ski Club - Dawn Mountain Trails: A cross-country ski center with 33 km of cross-country ski trails (classic and skate) and 5 km of snowshoe trails. (http://goldennordicclub.ca/)
Lake Louise: A beautiful turquoise lake located in Banff National Park. You can hike, canoe, kayak, or just relax and enjoy the view. (https://maps.google.com/?cid=4339003266641018086)
Golden Golf Course: An 18-hole golf course just a few minutes from downtown Golden.
Mount Revelstoke National Park: A national park with mountains, glaciers, lakes, and forests. You can hike, camp, fish, and much more.
Yoho National Park: Another national park with mountains, waterfalls, lakes, and geological wonders. You can hike, camp, fish, and much more.
Columbia River Valley: A picturesque valley with mountains, rivers, and forests. You can go rafting, kayaking, fishing, and much more.
Visiting Calgary: One day is more than enough; Calgary is a large city that isn’t necessarily touristy. I genuinely think it's better to dedicate an extra day to the national parks than to this city.

Higher Ground: Located in town, you can also rent bikes, disc golf equipment, downhill skis, and cross-country skis.
Selkirk Hill: At the foot of Kicking Horse Resort, you can rent skis, boots, or any winter sports equipment in winter. In summer, you can rent downhill bikes. It’s the best in town.
