Our House
The Kitchen
Some people take photos of every drawer… I believe the best way to discover our kitchen is to open them all and explore! I hope you find everything you need!
In the kitchen, we use quality utensils, including ScanPan pots and pans
‼️ Please use grease (butter, oil, etc.) with each use to preserve their non-stick properties.
‼️ Please use only wooden or silicone utensils in the pans and dishes, and of course, no knives! We have two cutting boards available for your use.
To clean the countertop, we have our homemade cleaner (in the blue and yellow ZEP Sprayer bottle): you can use it for everything: the countertop, burners, oven, fridge… just not on the floor :) If it runs out, the recipe is WATER + VINEGAR (under the hot plate) + ESSENTIAL OIL + DISH SOAP: inexpensive and organic!

Living Room and Television
Large Remote Control: This controls the soundbar. To use it, simply press the power button.
Small Remote Control: This operates the television. You can access apps like YouTube and Amazon Prime through it.

Bathroom
Dryer: Please remember to empty the lint filter between each use. Leaving lint deposits can hinder the dryer's performance and pose a fire risk.
Shower: If your stay lasts longer than two weeks, please clean the entire shower and grout every two weeks. Our water has a high iron content, which changes the color of the grout (we've tried many sealants, but none work). Just use water, shampoo (it may sound odd, but it's the most effective), and a small brush. Thank you!
‼️ Ventilation: Please turn on the exhaust fan in the bathrooms by selecting the desired duration. It will automatically turn off after the set time!

Children's Playroom
The kids have only set two rules:
Have fun!
Please don’t destroy the awesome LEGO creations!

Outdoors
You are free to use the barbecue, pizza oven, and fire pit as you wish:
IF FIREBAN IS ACTIVE: DO NOT USE THEM!!! Locals and neighbors are very cautious about this; it could cost you $10,000 and lead to up to 1 year in prison in British Columbia! Please do not use the “nice logs” reserved for indoors, which are expensive, but use those around the fire pit provided for you.
Check fire bans and restrictions
You can use the trampoline for the kids, but please do not allow adults on it :)

Workshop and Carport
My workshop and carport will normally be tidy, but I don’t think you’ll need to access them? Unless you need a tool?!
Unfortunately, our bikes are not insured this year, so we prefer that you do not use them.
The same goes for the quads, which are not insured for use on BC roads.
The garden is automatically watered, so you won’t have to do anything in that regard except for opening and closing the greenhouse. If there is a storm or strong winds, please make sure to close it completely.
This is where you Park in the winter !

"We spent a very intense year building our house ourselves, with friends and family, sleeping, living, and breathing in dust! We are counting on you to take care of a part of our life!"
Small surprise !
Just a few steps from our home (5 minutes), we own a property with three majestic private waterfalls. Here’s how to access them:
Send a quick WhatsApp message to Tim at +1 (905) 809-6021, who works on the property, to let him know you’ll be walking to the waterfall :) You might run into him! If he doesn’t see your message, no worries—just explain that you are our guests.
Go here: Google Maps Parking Location to park: you will see a bridge , and a few parking spots.
It’s time to walk upstream along the river for about 1 km, following the riverbed and walking on the rocks. You will easily reach the first waterfall: Google Maps First Waterfall Location.
To get to the second waterfall, you will need to climb up to the right of the first waterfall, following a small path that goes uphill. The second waterfall will be just 100m higher, and then the third one will be another 100m higher.
Be careful! It’s slippery and steep!
